my fitness routine + apps I use

my fitness routine + apps I use

Helllloo friends :)

So, recently I have started getting back into a healthier lifestyle and trying to take better care of myself and lemme tell ya, it is hard 😅 Sometimes I have the motivation and then other times I just want to get a double cheeseburger and fries from McDonald’s and lay around all day and watch Netflix.

I have tried so many diets and workout routines over the past few years and none of them have really stuck or made a huge difference to me UNTIL recently, thankfully.

If you’re like me, then you don’t want to spend money on fitness because well you have a ton of other crap you have to pay for and that shouldn’t be one. I have finally found the best app for me and it’s called workoutforwomen (you can find it on the App Store)

This app is 100% free & connects to your Apple Watch and syncs the calories you burn each workout (which is motivation for me because I always try to hit my goal each day)

The app has workouts that range from 7 minutes to 25 minutes and it also has HIIT workouts on it as well. When you start the workout, it times you and shows you exactly how to do it which is helpful for me. The biggest perk about it too is you do not have to have a gym!!! Which means you can do these as soon as you wake up for before you go to bed!

My workout routine now consists of doing 20 minutes of cardio, doing one of the 20 minute workouts on the app and then if I’m not dead, then walking for 20 more minutes after.

I have FINALLY realized though that working out everyday and eating like crap will not make me lose weight or look how i want too. I never really believed people when they said that eating clean is the best way to toning up and losing weight.

I use the app My Fittness Pal to track what I eat everyday and it seriously keeps me accountable. It makes me not want to eat junk because I don’t want to have to write it down and then screw up my whole goal for the day.

I have my macros set to 1,200 calories a day with 55% Carbs, 25% Fat and 20% Protein. If I stick to that in a day, whenever I complete my diary, it tells me what I will weigh in 5 weeks if I continue eating like that and literally it is helpful because it makes you want to reach your goal by that much more.

I still have soo much further to go but I just wanted to share my routine with you all and let me know if you have any suggestions on anything else I should or could be doing! Hope everyone has a great week :)
